A little something different

I do NOT like churches where the teaching/preaching is nothing more than a motivational talk once a week or so. Too many churches preach ‘feel good’ sermons every week and the congregation loves it. There’s no challenge, nothing to encourage believers to push on in their faith.

However, there is truth to be found even in ‘feel good’ messages – so here’s one from me, full of truth, for everyone who is born again, and I’m going to write it in the first person for you to say to yourself:

I am a child of God. God’s child.

In this vast universe full of billions of stars, He knows where the Earth is and out of the 6 billion people on this planet, He knows who I am, where I am and WHY I am here.

I am important to God. The creator of the universe knows me by name – and He loves me.

Almighty God created me and He is pleased with what He made.

He loves me so much that He sent His own Son to die for me. He knows everything I need before I even ask for it and will supply all my needs. I am that special.

I will be with Him forever in paradise, that is His promise to me.

I am here for a reason, I have purpose and I have value. I am worth everything to God. Even the death of His Son.

I am saved and redeemed by the blood of the lamb. I am washed clean by His blood.

I need feel no guilt, because there is no condemnation for me. My sins have been removed from me as far away as the east is from the west.

When I see God face to face, He will welcome me home with open arms, glad to have me there.

I am special. I am Loved. I am God’s child and He loves, protects and cares for me.

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:38-39)(NIV)

Believe it, repeat it, it’s the truth for you today and every day.
