My life motto has always been something along the lines of ‘Why do something today that can easily be done tomorrow?’.
This motto extends to everything and is not time-dependent. Why do something now that I can put off for 5 minutes?
However, I was reading a book last night that I have had on my shelf for years and have never read called What Every Kid Wished Their Parents Knew…and Vice Versa by Rob and Lloyd Parsons. In it they have a quote from a 15 year old boy called Tom (page 41). The quote goes like this:
“I believe that you should live every day as if it’s your last, which is why I don’t have any clean laundry because, come on, who wants to wash clothes on the last day of their life?”
Priceless! I am trying to memorize it for use in all situations!
The book’s not a bad read. Probably better if you’re English rather than American because it uses some English terminology but it’s not a bad book all the same.
