Do you ever think you’ll now everything there is to know about the people you love most?

The great mystery of human relationships is that they are forever changing. You can have known someone for 60 minutes or 60 years and there will still be things you don’t know about them, things to learn. That’s what makes relationships so exciting. They are never boring because they are forever changing and deepening.

Your relationship with God is no different.

We seem to think that we can read through our bibles and know everything there is to know about God. We act as if there is nothing more we can learn about Him and so there is no more excitement to our relationship with Him.

Think about that for just one minute. God has been there since before the beginning of time. He has seen everything that has ever happened. He knows everything that will ever happen. His very existence is beyond our understanding. Just imagine how much you DON’T know about Him. There is so much to learn, so much to experience, so much depth to be found in your relationship with Him.

You could spend every minute of every day getting to know Him more and you will still never learn all there is to learn.

Think about that this Valentines day.

How much do you want to develop your relationship with the Author of Life? What are you going to do in the next 12 months to deepen your relationship with Him? How close do you want to be to your eternal Father?
