As I, my church and some of the wonderful readers here embark on the journey toward The 12 Days of Christmas Challenge, I thought that this week’s memory verse should be something to remind us of God’s promise to us when we pray.
When we pray, we can expect an answer. It’s as simple as that. Jesus said:
Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. (Matthew 7:7)
So as you pray this week, wait for an answer, listen for the answer because the answer WILL come, maybe not exactly when you want it and maybe it won’t be exactly what you hoped it would be but the answer will come.
This is an easy one to memorize. See if you can have it and its reference committed to memory by the end of the week.
I’m up for the challenge … great idea!
Without a doubt, this is a good verse to memorize. And I like the idea that you gave about ‘listening for the answer’, as we have a tendency to go ahead of God. By waiting on the LORD we will discover exactly what it is that we really need. Thus we will learn how to pray as we ought.
Blessings to you…
