Our church started a new thing this Sunday.

I’ll tell the story of how it came about in a later post but it was exciting and I wanted to share with you what happened.

Instead of getting together and having a ‘service’ this Sunday we went out into the community and did some service instead.

We took sack lunches to 15 homeless people. It was amazing.

Here’s some of the responses we got:

“Thank you”, “God bless you”, “Oh… a BANANA THANK YOU!!!!!”, “Real soda? I can never afford soda… thank you!”

They weren’t mean, they weren’t scary… they were just people who were hungry and were very grateful for some nice food.

You should try it. They won’t bite! At least, they won’t bite anything but the food!
