"When we open up and share, walls are brought down, friendships made and hurts healed." I love that statement Peter!

haha what? I have permission to shamelessly promote my blog? ;)

Just come on over tomorrow; I'm sharing something I wrote last week that will probably go in my (eventual) book. For now, it's going in an anthology for a class I'm in and I need a title!

Yes, yes, YES! Great post, Peter.

One of my favorite movies is Amistad, concerning the trial of a group of slaves in colonial America. Their freedom was won not by clever legal maneuverings but by the simple telling of their story. That's always stuck with me.

People are utterly amazing creatures. The more we learn about them, the more we learn about ourselves and our God.

great blog Peter. I'm just to cynical to comment on it and I know you want to keep your blog a place of peace and positivity so my best comment is 'no comment'

I know you have a tracker so you prolly knew, before I even knew that I was comming, that I was here, (lol confusing aren't I) but I wanted to personally let you know and then you dont have to wonder why I didn't comment.

p.s I hope I get a cool icon. Are all your icons for ppl that dont have their own, icky green? just a thought maybe you could pick a nice color like purple :-)

I love listening to or reading other people's stories. I also love your statement: "Everyone has a story - just most of the time we are too preoccupied with our own navel-gazing to discover what those stories are." True, true, true! Today I was a guest at a friend's family reunion. It was a wonderful opportunity to lift my gaze from my navel and learn about the significant people in my friend's life.

My own story is evolving, perhaps I'll share it on my blog, http://hereswhatithink-erlinda.blogspot.com/, once I get the words organized the way I want them to be.

Good thought to keep in mind...you never know who you might be "sitting next to" that could have a story that might change your life or maybe something you say could change theirs!!

Yeah, getting people to share is quite hard - and it's not good to push too hard. Thing is, there's a story there about why they don't want to share any of their story!
