Not only may the "Phils" have a hard time feeling wanted, you might have a hard time if you are a teenager who dresses a little oddly or doesn't fit the clean cut preppy mold, a person who has never grown up in a "christian" enviornment and doesn't know the way things are done at church, a single person over the age of oh lets say 30........ I've told my husband before I get why some people don't want anything to do with Chrisitianity. I guess the only thing to do, is start with ourselves and reach out and welcome those people.
