It sounds like he is hoping someone will help him find the only One who can fill that hole and give his life real meaning. I'll definitely join you in praying for these folks who are so idolized in our society, yet are so empty and yearning inside. Weird.... My daughter says she wants to be famous. I really discourage that. I understand wanting to be recognized for a talent or an accomplishment, but to seek fame for the sake of fame is idolatry, just as seeking wealth for the sake of wealth is. I've known a whole lot of folks who have had one or both that are really, really damaged. They attempt to find solace in everything except the One thing that will provide it: complete surrender.
