I remember how those first few weeks people were afraid to go anywhere. There were people talking about how the World Series may be a target, and people should stay home. Okay, it wasn't, and people did go, but to even imagine that people SHOULDN'T. I remember suddenly feeling so sorry for Israel, because how do you NOT be afraid to just go get a slice of pizza with all the bombings they've faced. I had felt bad about the bombings before, I just never empathized with the fear. My point is that I for one was in my own little world then, and I suppose on Thursday night when I composed my post without mentioned terrorism in the rest of the world and the support we received from others.
