I’ve never done a blog carnival before.. yesterday was my first time. What an incredible experience it was! I’d like to express my deep and sincere thanks to everyone who got involved.

I don’t know if you were able to read all of the posts that were written for the carnival but they were all incredible and showed how beautifully diverse this amazing family called The Church is. They also taught me a lot about obedience – and my lack of it!

I decided today that the best way to process and appreciate all that diversity was to write a digest of all the posts from the carnival, so here goes:

• Glynn wrote about The Cost of Obedience and how sometimes you may be the odd one out but being obedient to the call of the Lord is essential.
• Ginny wrote about how obedience requires relationships and understanding.
• Sarah S. wrote her thoughts on King David, from the ladies room no less
• Sarah B. wrote about the struggle to be obedient to the call of God in every day life.
• Anne Lang Bundy wrote about how much easier it is to obey by doing the big ‘praiseworthy’ tasks, but not so easy to obey in the lowly ‘background’ tasks.
• Helen wrote about how her disobedient childhood never really went away.
• Bridget wrote that obedience often takes us outside of our comfort zone.
• Russell didn’t graduate from doggy school.
• Chrystie showed that indifference is the opposite of love.
• Jaime looked at how to be who God made her to be.
• Katdish Doesn’t like the song “Trust and Obey” so she cheated and quoted Rich Mullins.
• Billy wrote about a guy who was Selling Jesus.
• Frank showed that it’s not so much what we do but how and why.
• Steph wrote about why she wasn’t going to join in with the carnival
• Kevin M. posted a video that is very worth watching and told us that obedience is a choice
• Bonnie wrote a beautiful poem
• Maureen reminded us of the price of obedience
• Jojo discussed why obedience is not such a hot topic in the Church these days
• Nancy told us not to hike up our skirts! (You’ve got to read it to understand)
• Jason joined in with a challenge.
• …and finally there was me. I wrote about being obedient in the little things.

THANK YOU! to everyone who joined in and HELLO to all the new friends that were made through this carnival.

We’ll have to do this again soon, it was a wonderful way to Rediscover The Church!
