Chrystie, this sounded so familiar to me. I felt the same way when I sent my husband back to Iraq from his R&R in August, knowing that there were no guarantees that he would return to me. Thankfully, he did return whole and healthy, but that time of trust in spite of what might be was a difficult one to get through at times.

What a beautiful way you have of expressing it! Thanks for sharing this with us.

Chrystie, I love this as much today as I did when I first read it. And of course God's timing is perfect. I was just talking to a dear friend yesterday who is totally stressed and wondering if God really sees what's happening in her life. What a blessing these words will be to her when I pass them along. I love being on God's Team, don't you?

Making the decision to trust Him means trusting in His way even when it is unclear or not what I hoped for.

What a clear and lovely way to sum up what it really is to believe in God, Chrystie.

Lord, I do pray that You'll protect Ken. I pray that as You work Your sovereign will in His life, You'll also work in this situation Your perfect will, and give the maximum good to Ken and Chrystie. Thank You and Amen.

Very nice. Fear is such a real threat to our peace. Like you said, trusting God doesn’t mean everything will work out the way we think it should, but it will be to His glory somehow and some way. Thanks for the reminder.
