I know that content is WAY more important than design, but I get so caught up in wanting a 'better' design!

i am going to comment before i look at your favorite posts. they look pretty interesting, from just the titles, anyway.

since the poll only gives me two options for an answer, i have declined to take part. yet, i will comment here. i do not care if you change your web page design or stay with the one that you have. i an not really attracted to either one of them. but, i like how you communicate with people in this place.

I'm agreeing with what everyone else seems to be saying. I like the new look, but I like the old, too. I think maybe you could organize your side bars a little different and maybe get a cleaner look?

I suppose it depends on what your goals are. My blog (I hope) is very communitiy oriented, and also very busy looking. Conversely, Billy's is very simple and elegant. The goal of his website is to highlight the writing. Which, much thanks to Peter, is think he's accomplished.

I think it has something to do with all the widgets on the sides. It's like, I want them there… but it looks so much cleaner and nicer without them. I know that's not terribly helpful.

Um… Like, my website doesn't seem very community oriented at all. I've only got a few links to other blogs, no where to show your face when you follow or anything. Sometimes, I want to have a place where I can see the people following me or whatnot, but it doesn't really fit my website. So I don't do it. I like it clean like that though because it doesn't have a busy feeling.

It's a double-edge sword. Lots of people like their widgets, and it's hit or miss for me.
