Christmas Letters – S

Today is the final day of my Christmas Letters series so, of course, the last letter of Christmas is S.

Thank you all for reading my letters over the past nine days. It has been a big change for me to post for some many days in a row but it has been good for me in many ways.

S is for Saviour

This year has been a tough battle with depression and all the problems related to it.

There are many things that have changed and the depression and lack of self confidence really make me doubt many things in my life.

There’s one thing that we can all be sure of though:

God always keeps his promises!

He promised us a saviour – and we got one, born on that first Christmas Day.

He promised us that if we repent and believe in him that we would be given eternal life – and we are.

and He promised that there is nothing which can separate us from the Love of  God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 8:38-29)

Through everything that happens, our saviour’s love and promises stay the same so let’s celebrate our salvation this Christmas.

And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9 An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. 12This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”

13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,

14 “Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”

(Luke 2:8-14)
