I’ve not had time to write the post I intended to write today and I want to devote the proper amount of time to it so instead today I’d like to invite you to watch the video above and ponder this thought:
You never know when this could happen to you.
You never know when a heart attack could strike, you never know when you could get shot in a random drive-by shooting and you never know when a truck on the other side of the road could jack-knife and smash through the seemingly impenetrable concrete barrier and squash you like a bug.
It can happen in an instant… you never know!
You never know…. but do you live a life that means you’ll be ready when it happens?
I had this sort of moment a couple of years ago when an SUV that was driving behind us lost control and started flipping. I was driving along with my wife and six month old at the time and it really makes you think how quickly life can be taken away.
It, like the video, was one of the most devastating things I had ever experienced. I was the first person to get to the car after it stopped and for me it was just a total moment of helplessness. I do not know how doctors deal with things like that on a daily basis.
Those kind of events definitely make you think and evaluate you life and how you are living it!
Precisely.
We all, to some degree have an invincibility complex or an ‘it couldn’t happen to me’ philosophy.
… but it really could!
Well, that’s nearly a hell-fire sermon in and of itself.
You’re not wrong there! 🙂
