Great reminder, Peter. We always find time for the things we consider important, so there's no excuses, no telling we don't have time to nurture our relationship with God and with our loved ones.
God and our family should be our top two priorities, in that order.

You're absolutely right, Zee.

I was going to say something about being fake because that's a very real issue...

I think I'll write about that later in the week! :-)

In a way I'm a little sad at how open the net is these days, and how people are using it. I grew up with the Internet, but when I first had it back in the mid 90s, it wasn't at all like it was now. With the good (Youtube!) comes the bad (all the dirty laundry on Facebook, yuck). But one thing has held steady throughout the years. I think the internet holds people accountable in ways the real world doesn't always do. If you you post something you shouldn't, it's likely to come back to bite you. But also, the net can be a dangerous place unlike the real world. It's very easy for something you didn't do or intend for, to go viral. we've got to be careful and make sure we put our best foot forward.

I honestly think I'm the same person online as I am in real life--the good, the bad and the ugly. I also think I have fairly good BS radar, so I tend to avoid folks online who seem like they're trying to be something more than they are.

Online presence may vary from the reality... It's easy to be nice and cute online yet not so nice and cute in real life.

I am in no way implying that this is the case with the girl you mentioned. I was thinking broader audience.

At the same time, I do believe that online presence is important these days almost as much as the real time one. Whenever I had an interview with a candidate for my assistant, since the work requires knowledge of computers and communications (i.e. social media), after each interview I went online and looked for those people - looking through their photos, their blogs, their status updates... You never know. But you can get a taste of what this person is like in real life outside of the official interview.
