Speaking
Although I have been preaching in Church for many years, speaking publicly about things other than God is something I never had the opportunity to do.
Never until now, that is.
My first non-church related speaking gig was at the Type-A Blogger’s Conference in Asheville, NC in June 2011.
I am both honored and excited to have been given this opportunity. One of my great passions is to help people succeed online so getting to talk to a bunch of bloggers and hopefully help them along their way is a dream come true.
My goal for this year was to get one speaking gig – and I achieved by the time July rolled around so I had to set a new goal – which is to be able to speak publicly one more time this year about something technology related.
That opportunity has come up and I am very grateful and excited to have been given the opportunity to speak at the BlogWorld New Media Expo in L.A. this November.
I can’t tell you how exciting it is to me to think that I am going to be able to connect with people in this new way and I am constantly planning new presentations and working on making them as interesting and educational as possible for everyone who gives me the honor of attending my session.
If you were at The Type-A Conference and came to my session, I’m looking for lots of feedback so you’re perfectly welcome to tell me exactly how awesome (or terrible) my session was either through the ‘Have You Heard Me Speak’ box in this post or through my feedback form here
I really want to learn from the mistakes I’ll invariably make!
Of course, I’m on the lookout for more speaking engagements, too. So if you know of any that you think I could be useful to….. I’d love for you to drop me a line and let me know!
Thanks,
Peter
