You may have noticed that I now have an Amazon Wish List button at the side of my page so I thought I’d better explain why it’s there.
The button is not there to beg you to buy me something, it’s there because quite a few of my friends and family read this list and some of them buy me gifts for my birthday or Christmas.
What do you buy for a guy trying to live a simple life though?
I don’t want to accumulate junk that I don’t need. I don’t want someone to buy me a gift which is not necessary, as far as I’m concerned that’s just a waste of money.
When an item of clothing wears out, I’ll add it to the wish list to be replaced. When something I need breaks or becomes apparent, I’ll add it to the wish list. That way, you can find out what I want/need by looking at my wish list.
On my list are a lot of items for giving away. These are the high priority items!
I am an unpaid stay-at-home dad and pastor. I don’t have a lot of money and my church is small and, while God richly bless our church, its resources are still limited.
I have therefore put on my wish list a lot of the books and things that I regularly give away and I will also put on there items that I know people in my community need.
If you want to buy me a gift for some reason then I’d LOVE IT if you’d buy me one of the high priority items on my list! That way I get a gift and I get to give it to someone else – that’s like DOUBLE PRIZES!!
Thanks. Just thought I’d better explain that I’m not begging from y’all.
God bless,
Peter
